Timothy Nolan, a former Kentucky judge and self described Trump 2016

Nolan served as a Campbell County District Court judge from 1978 to 1986 and later worked as city solicitor. For decades after that he built a reputation in Northern Kentucky as a tea party fixture and conservative activist. In 2016 he volunteered for Trump’s campaign as a state delegate and ballot observer and told reporters he was running the campaign in Campbell County, a claim other local Republicans disputed once he was arrested.

In April 2016 a 16 year old student from Campbell County High School was living in a rented trailer on Nolan’s property with her mother. He was accused of forcing her into commercial sex. He was arrested in 2017 on charges that included r*pe, human trafficking and giving alcohol to a minor. As the investigation widened, more victims came forward and prosecutors filed superseded indictments twice. Investigators eventually identified 19 victims, 7 of them children under 16. The abuse stretched back more than a decade. Nearly all of the victims were struggling with drug addiction, and prosecutors said Nolan used that addiction to control them, threatening to have them arrested or have their children taken away if they talked. Months before his arrest, Nolan won a seat on the local school board.
