Nationwide — In a tragic turn of events, a 10-year-old African American girl from Orlando, Florida fatally shot a 41-year-old woman during a confrontation between adults back in 2022. And now, her mother, 33-year-old Lakrisha Isaac, has been sentenced to 5 years in prison.The trouble began when Isaac confronted Rodgers about a social media post. A fight broke out, and Isaac handed her daughter a backpack containing a gun. The girl then shot Rodgers, according to People.
Isaac faced charges of manslaughter and culpable negligence. She pleaded no contest in May 2024, avoiding a possible 20-year sentence but receiving a 5-year prison term instead.
